    Are you a supply chain professional looking to join a growing company at the intersection of automotive, sustainability and technology that deploys connected, electrified vehicle solutions? If so, XL is offering a role that will empower a leader to help implement our supply chain strategy while performing day-to-day hands-on work with a great team. This role requires a candidate with leadership experience across a range of supply chain functions, as well as a passion and aptitude for digging into the details.

    Responsibilities

    Iterate on and help evolve XL’s supply chain strategy to ensure:

    • Fleet customer satisfaction
    • Safe, reliable and timely product deployment
    • Robust XL financial health
    • Best-in-class service levels
    • A network of industry-leading suppliers
    • A targeted list of logistics partners

    Work with XL’s Supply Chain Manager on:

    • Expanding XL’s supply base by building relationships with new suppliers
    • Conducting component and vendor RFQ/RFP’s to continually improve XL’s component costs
    • Cross-functional vendor selection process
    • Supply contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms for XL
    • Developing and implementing supplier/vendor performance score cards, and working with vendors to improve scores
    • Developing component procurement forecasts/plans to match up with production goals; align procurement activities to support on-time production and release.
    • Refining safety stock/target stock program to be most efficient
    • Managing freight and parcel providers
    • Continually assessing/identifying preferred shipping partners, negotiating shipping terms and pricing, and identifying/onboarding any customs brokers

    Enhance XL’s processes and controls for:

    • Reverse logistics for warranty/service components
    • Warranty claims with suppliers for MRB components; warranty component tracking
    • Inbound component testing and acceptance procedures
    • XL-owned vehicle transportation

    Inventory management, including:

    • Establish inventory controls, thresholds, min/max quantities, depletion quantities and drive procurement to address inventory requirements
    • Focusing on accuracy and efficiency
    • Working with XL’s Inventory Manager on inventory policies, the potential implementation of electronic data exchange capabilities and processes for XL’s installation partner-managed inventory, inventory counts

    Interface with XL’s finance department on:

    • ERP implementation and roll out
    • All financial aspects of day-to-day management of XL’s supply chain
    • Cost-of-goods analysis
    • Benchmarking and measuring performance against goals on regular basis to present results to senior management

    Qualifications

    • 12+ years of supply chain management experience
    • Motivated, eager to face new challenges provided by an emerging technology product company
    • Excellent with numbers, mathematics, computer skills, including MS Office (especially Excel)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or related field of study (Master’s degree preferred)
    • Excellent teamwork skills while working under pressure
    • Superior analytical skills for the preparation of product demand forecasts, financial profitability of product and inventory management issues
    • Deep experience implementing and using ERP systems
    • Proven ability to build and manage successful teams
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
    • Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development

    Pluses

    • Experience with automotive supply chains, especially sourcing and managing automotive componentry
    • Master’s degree
    • Salesforce experience
    • Any coding/software background
